Panov-Botvinnik: 3.exd5 cxd5 4.c4

White attacks d5 with c4 and usually ends up with an isolated d-pawn (IQP). Play …Nf6, …e6, …Be7 and castle. When White takes on d5, recapture with the knight and keep a piece on d5 - the blockade. Then trade pieces and attack d4. If White closes the position with c5, undermine the chain with …b6 and …a5.
