Traps and tricks
Traps you can set: knights that hop to h4 when your queen sees the d8-h4 diagonal, early queen raids that can be hit with tempo, and the b2-pawn when White's c1-bishop has left home. Traps to avoid: the h-pawn hunt against your bishop - always have …h6 (or …h5) ready. In every line the move you play is the safe, correct one.

Five lines, two of them core:
- Set: 5.Nh4?? and the d8-h4 diagonal (core)
- Avoid: the h-pawn trap in the Classical (core)
- Set: 4.h4 h5 5.Bg5 Qb6 and the b2-pawn (important)
- Set: the queen raid 7.Qb3 Na5 8.Qb4? e5! (important)
- Set: 3.f3 e6 4.Be3 Qb6 5.Qd2?? Qxb2 (important)
